It’s long overdue! I have been so busy with designing other people’s sites that I just haven’t had the time to dedicate to working on my own. With a new year approaching rapidly, I finally have got my act together and am working on a redesign here. Oddly, redesigning my own site is more difficult than designing for others – partially because the choices are wide open: no list of client requirements can be more of a hindrance; and partially because I want the site to be completely fantastic and not something I’ll want to re-do again in a few months’ time. Plus, if I wait until I’m perfectly happy with the site, I’ll never get anywhere, so I’ll be aiming to have this up before Christmas.
I’ve selected a lovely font from village, chosen some fresh new colours and am working on page layouts and content right now.
More on the redesign soon!

Limits and specifications are a wonderful thing, a wide-open canvas usually puts my brain in an infinite procrastination loop. Deadlines are the best restrictions, and you’ve got a good one there. How did you choose the new colours? I’ve found Adobe Kuler to be rather handy, if you choose a pallet and stick to it.
Village looks good; love the hover states here http://vllg.com/products/

I love Kuler too, and had a good look on there for colour ideas for cre8d actually! Didn’t end up using one but it seeded my ideas a lot.
I’ve been wanting to get away from blue for a while but want to keep a bright, happy, light feel to the site so have gone for two summery fresh clean colours with some greys/off blacks to go with them.

Can’t wait to see what you come up with.
