I like it. It’s also made me think – my first reaction was to press the ‘like’ button, not to comment. I often do that on FB without even thinking of it.

So, so true Pete. I do that a lot on Facebook and while it’s a nice acknowledgment that someone has seen what I’ve posted on there, I often wish I knew *why* they liked it, or their thinking/reaction. But the flipside is, if it’s not so easy (typing vs a quick click), there’s less people likely to respond “aloud”.

Yes, I agree, it seems when the internet was fresh we could all take the time to type but now often we just like or retweet. I think that rss-readers effected commenting too – I often just read a post in bloglines and don’t end up clicking through.
