Usability - a real world *question*

As an add-on to my last post (you’ll need to read that for this to make sense), I’ve been wondering why the parking system was changed. It’s not obvious to me, the client.
So, on further reflection:
- Explain the reason for changes to your users if possible - it may help them want to adapt to the new system, or at least reduce the confusion
Oh, and if you have any ideas as to why, I might sleep better tonight!






Because, if they didn’t change the system, they would have had no way of showing that they had the power to do so, and thus proving there self worth.

Nice changes…
On parking - Couple of possibilities
1. Everyone started showing up early???
2. No more Early Bird Specials.
3. Prices are on their way UP!!!

Heh, almost every single day there has been a different problem with the machine since I wrote this post. Some days, it doesn’t accept notes. Other days it rejects coins. Once it was eating tickets…. *sigh* It’s almost comical.
