Here’s some questions we have been asked. Have another one? Let us know!
We live near a small town called Kaukapakapa which is about 30 miles north-west of Auckland, New Zealand. The town’s name is Māori and means “to swim with much splashing”. Our property overlooks the Kaipara Harbor which happens to be the largest harbor in the Southern Hemisphere.
We adore The Bread Baker’s Apprentice. There’s something rather magical and so rewarding about the practice of making bread. It forces you to plan ahead, slow down, and see things change in front of your eyes.
We currently have a small herd of Wiltshire sheep, chickens, turkeys, beehives and a cat named Starshone (there’s a long story behind the name).
